Just watched Hillary Rodham Clinton speak at the Democratic National Convention.
Why is she not the nominee? Why is she not on the ticket?!?????
She gave a great speech, asking Democrats to unite behind Barack Obama, and that we were not just voting for her, but for all those who want a better life in the US.
Yes, I will vote for Obama in November and yes, I vote for a better US.
But when I cast my vote in the primaries, it was for Hillary, and I'll do it again.

A couple of reasons why she is not the nominee:
1. Timing. If Obama hadn't run, she would have been the nominee. No one can compete with his organizational and motivational abilities. Or his fundraising abilities.
2. I've heard and read analyses about where her campaign failed and I think it can be summed up by saying she was using old strategies that couldn't compete with Obama's strategies.
This being said, I greatly admire her and honor her for running for president. She has furthered the women's rights movement.
